When publishing a blog you need to think about so many different aspects, yet the titles can be the key to your fortune.
If you are thinking of setting up a blog, you have probably already decided on a theme, and it is probably, and hopefully, something that matters to you, you are passionate about and you have some knowledge of or experience in.
One of the most important aspects, particularly for the uninitiated, is translating that passion into a format that is going to attract interest and attention. After all, you want people to read your blog and come back again to read more.
Many blogging enthusiasts do so as a way of relaxing in their spare time, so asking you to think back to your daytime job may not be the most appealing thought after a hard day at work.
Anyway, think carefully about how many actual emails you read in their entirety and how many you simply discount and subsequently delete or file for reading later when at work in an average day.
It is extremely rare for someone managing a busy workload to read all of the emails they receive or the articles they receive through their feedreader. Most tend to simply glance at the subject header and then decide whether to read more based on those few simple words.
Whatever the subject matter, the main key for your blog therefore, has to be ensuring your article headline makes your fellow bloggers or readers want to read further.
So, get your blog headline wrong, and no matter how good the content, you will not necessarily get the visits or readers you want – the quality, usefulness or relevance may make absolutely no difference.
You must spend some time researching and mastering the art of creating an attractive headline without getting too carried away and creating headlines that completely mislead the reader.
